You have a setup scheduled with Simio? We’re really excited to work with you 🎉
💡 The setup takes about 1 hour, and there are just a few steps you need to complete beforehand 👇 (click to see all the details)
✅ Have admin access to the verified Meta Business Manager
The person who will create the WhatsApp account during the call must have this access. If you can run Ads, then you have sufficient permissions!
⚠️ The Meta Business Manager (or Portfolio) must be verified. You can submit a request from this page.

✅ Have a dedicated phone number
To use Simio — and therefore the WhatsApp API — you must have a phone number that is not already used on WhatsApp.
There is no need to install the WhatsApp application; everything will be managed directly from the Simio platform.
⚠️ You will need to be able to receive an activation code via SMS on this number during setup, so make sure the number is active and accessible during the call.
It is also possible to use a landline for the WhatsApp account; the activation code will be delivered via a call. Make sure you can access this number during the call as well.
Options available to you:
You don't have a dedicated phone number yet
- Get a new line with an eSIM that can be activated in a few minutes [Recommended]
- Get a new line with a physical SIM from any provider (the process is longer because the operator must send the SIM card by mail)
- Use an existing phone line that has never been used on WhatsApp (your number, a colleague’s number, or simply a landline)
You are already using WhatsApp services

On a customer service tool (Zendesk, Gorgias, etc…):
- Get a new line for Simio, so you will have 2 separate lines (1 for customer service, 1 for marketing)
- Disconnect the number from your tool to reconnect it via Simio. ⚠️ You will lose all conversation history.
- If you own the phone line (the tool did not create the line), we can migrate your WhatsApp account from your tool to Simio

On a WhatsApp marketing solution (similar to Simio):
- Delete the existing WhatsApp account to reconnect it via Simio. ⚠️ You will lose all conversation history.
- If you own the phone line (the solution did not create the line), we can migrate your WhatsApp account to Simio

On the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app:
- Get a new line for Simio, so you will have 2 separate lines (if you use the app for customer service, for example)
- Disconnect the number from your tool to reconnect it via Simio. ⚠️ You will lose all conversation history.
If you wish, we can take care of the line for you. In this case, we will add €15/month to your subscription. Just let us know before the setup so we are ready ⏰

💡 Payment method for Simio subscription
You should have received an email with a link to create your user account. Once logged in, you can manage the subscription on the Setup Guide page.

Once on the checkout page, make sure that the subscription amount matches what you agreed upon with your Simio contact. If you notice any discrepancy or have any questions, please notify us by replying to the email you received.
Here, you will have the option to subscribe using your credit card or via direct debit by providing your company’s banking information.
If you would like to receive an invoice for the subscription payment, please let us know before the call.
💡 Payment method for WhatsApp fees
You will need to provide your credit card for WhatsApp fees (Visa or MasterCard only). No other payment methods are authorized by Meta.
💡 In some cases, Meta recognizes a payment method already registered in your Business Manager (for ads, for example), and you can select it directly without entering the information again. This is relatively rare, so be prepared to enter the details anyway.
It is strongly recommended to provide a credit card for WhatsApp fees, but if your company does not have a corporate credit card, we can create the WhatsApp account through a partner who will handle the payment of WhatsApp fees. These fees will then be invoiced to you by us with no additional charge.
